2002 Results

EASTER AT PANORAMA

This year we had a lot of snow, this might have been because this Easter was a bit early in the year. Here is what happen in short:

On Friday we had about 14 pilots already registered. The weather was sunny and cloudy with to much wind. So we spend the afternoon skiing and took it easy on the evening.

The next day (Saturday) we had a total of 17 pilots signed up and started already at 10 am with the first flights. Some people got up to 3 flights in. The conditions got stronger in the afternoon and after Frank Kernick had to land higher than the Landing site and Mike Waddington flew longer than he wanted we changed our schedule to skiing again. some of us (Ron Ford (with long skies), Greg Hemmingway, Doug Protz and my self did a race down with our snow blades from the Taynton Bowl to the Day lodge. This was for sure a leg burner.
At the evening we had our Italian Buffet again. It was wonderful. The pasta chef was back and even the great Tira Misu was back at the dessert table. After a great 2.5 hour meal we moved next door to the bar and had a great evening.

On Sunday we where all ready for a early start again but this time the wind was blowing at launch of about 40 km/h and so we had a other race going down with our packs on the back. Around 11:30 we had our round up with prices and spend the afternoon with great skiing.
